I actually lived across the hall from Taylor Uhl after she transferred in from Minnesota. Really nice and REALLY smart. Plus I got to meet a bunch of women's soccer players, which was a welcome bonus for an eligible 19-year-old bachelor.
And so this doesn't keep the thread drift going, another observation about the 2020 team: check out what the injury bug/forced burnt shirts did to the class balance. ELEVEN burnt shirts in a scholarship class of 23. My hope is we see a few frosh (but not as many as last year) burn shirts this year to even out the counts a bit. If a guy is ready to play, you play him...and in the age of the portal, you can't rely on someone being around for a fifth season anyways.
My fingers are crossed that one or two of those OL burnt shirts can be re-worn this season. That rebuild will still be going on for another year or two. Poor Carberry...the guy inherited a total mess, and then half the room died. We were literally down to our final five guys by the last game of the season. Hopefully our injury karma pendulum swings the other way.
That said, to me the starting five actually feel pretty set, with Little and Sarell at OT, Dalman at OC, and likely Bragg at OG. If one of the portal guys (Hattis or Hamilton) returns, IMO it's because he likely gets the nod at the other OG spot, and first crack at OT if Little or Sarell goes down. Otherwise it'll be Barrett Miller. Myles Hinton is a stud and ready to play right away too - and much more so than our frosh were last year (not their fault of course...most OL take a couple years to be ready...hell, some never are).
