Interestingly, if Pryts does return (as is hinted at by social media), ILB suddenly becomes one of the deeper positions on the team. If Sinclair puts on 20lbs, that's 5 guys to rotate through right there, without counting the other 2 redshirting frosh - and who knows what they will become.

Yes, deep, the question is whether there is quality in that depth.  But five players with two redshirts is better than what we were previously looking at (three players, of which there was a total of maybe four games worth of experience, combined).

Now let's get those defensive linemen back!

If insiders are correct, there will be two more scholarship freshmen to add to this board (keeping in mind DE Lance Keneley is committed but did not sign so he's not on the board yet). As Bob said, there is 1 more probable '20 signee besides Keneley, and the LDS guy won't count til '22. Thus we actually need 9 or more players to transfer/retire.


Given there are 10 scholarship guys still in the portal, we will be extremely close to full if even just a couple of them return, depending on the number of retirements/additional transfers.

Given that there are now 9 scholarship players in the portal, and assuming two late signees, we could be at 85 (though pending a medical retirement).  And if other players come back from the portal, we may well be at the limit.
