What is the prognosis of jail time for the criminal mastermind behind all this -- the one who enticed all these people into doing something they had no way of knowing how to do, even had they thought of trying it before he approached them ? This isn't even like a pimp turning in all the Johns. This guy seemingly had a monopoly, and sought out the people with money that might fall for his schemes.
Does he wind up getting credit (shorter sentence) from the DoJ for being so successful at his criminal exploits that he has lots of Johns to turn in? Or, does his sentence get longer the more of them there are?
