Always liked that guy, including when on his college tour of campuses for ESPN(?) back in the day, Forde had a beverage with a group of die hards (from another board) at the Dutch Goose.

P.S.  The answer (or something that will go a long way toward rectification):  cap on coaching salaries.  Don't know why it should even be controversial.  Any excess $$ saved by not paying coaches (handsomely, but maybe not ridiculously) gets poured back into the institutions' respective general funds.

So, all the schools get together [in the form of the NCAA, I presume] and decide that coaches' salaries are going to be capped?

Yeah, that doesn't sound like an antitrust and/or illegal employment action case waiting to happen...  :-)
