I didn’t see a thread about season ticket renewals in general so I figured I’d post here.
1) Actually, not a fan of beer and wine sales. I’ve seen drunk (u$c) fans at places like Levi’s and staggering in from tailgates and don’t need more. But we’ll see how the experiment goes. My guess is that it’ll be a success as long as it’s on a limited basis, like only for priority $TMs.
2) I was struck by the lack of transparency and information this year. How much of a discount did returning stms get? What is the alumni/staff/young alumni discount? Who knows. All we get is a bill saying “pay this much.” I was disappointed by the decrease from last year. I thought they’d discount it more. I expect I’ll take a loss on any games I can’t make. Fwiw my rate dropped about $12 per ticket / $2 less per game.
3) i haven’t yet but I plan to compare how the “donations” are changing for premium seats.
4) i never heard anything from Stanford until today and suddenly it’s “renew by the end of day to qualify for all renewal lotteries!!” I wonder what effect the last-minute approach will have. My guess is that it won’t help —i didn’t hear anything at all from my “account exec”. I happened to have already decided I was going to renew, but if I had been on fence, the disorganized, last-minute, non-communicative experience would not help.
5) Of course i renewed! Go Cardinal 2020!!! Can’t wait for fall!
