Question: If you are having competitions without spectators, how can one justify having the competitions themselves? I mean all sports other than maybe golf are done at very close distances, and many of them share the same balls.

Moreover, how are athletes going to feel about competing when they see spectators are prohibited for safety reasons? Will they even want to travel on commercial flights to be at their games and meets?

Chicago State has cancelled their basketball games this week for both men and women.  The men's team was scheduled for a road trip including Seattle.

Cancellations may also may be due to the fact that they were 0 and 14 in league
