I've been following closely since mid January and one thing that I'd caution would be to trust China's numbers completely, especially early on.
Rumors/reports in the early going about severe underreporting (classification method; don't test, don't tell). Projections by some universities that numbers were actually 10-100x (Lancelot?)
How much of that was true and how much was fear mongering, I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if numbers were underreported.
That said, even in the US we have experts saying that we're likely 10x-100x below reality, so maybe we can compare. =/
