Today, Washington is going to announce a state-wide ban on any gathering larger than 250 people. Yes, it has come to this. WA believes it has at least 1,000 cases on its own and could have 64,000 in six weeks. Nobody thinks the CFR is the concern. It is simply protecting the hospitals from being overwhelmed as they are in Italy right now due to the complication rate regardless of age. It’s nice to see more leaders are getting the word out that this is the reason for such measures. Dr. Cody did a great job explaining this in the SCC presser announcing the 1,000 person gathering ban in Santa Clara County.
I don’t understand why Gov. Cuomo is still allowing people in and out of the New Rochelle. There is a Metro North station there into Grand Central. I fully expect an explosion of cases in the tri-state area as it only takes one infected person to spread this thing like wild fire. If New Rochelle has a cluster of cases and not enough testing, keeping that station open is crazy.
