Long term closing of schools and day care isn't going to work because too many people can't stay home for that long. Not to mention people have different incentives to stay home. A couple that can both work from home are much more able to shoulder that burden than a single police officer or firefighter/nurse family.
You also haven't dealt with the economic incentive people have to share the expense of daycare across multiple families. I work in day-care and this week has been non-stop calls of "we must close" to tear filled "you can't close" calls from parents. The "can't close" people are just going to call the laid-off day care workers and arrange "playdates" for groups of kids a couple of weeks in. If their choice is that or lose their job/house/business they are going to do it.
