adding to bob's response, i can't find a direct answer via a web search. one indirect answer is that ivy league athletes can and do get a medical redshirt extra year of eligibility even though they do not receive athletic scholarships. also, stanford guarantees 4 years of scholarship even with injury; i have no idea if they guarantee 6 years. if stanford does guarantee a scholarship for all years played, i have no idea if anna could waive the scholarship.
in addition to a 15-player limit on scholarships, there is also a 15-player limit on travel, so one player would have to stay home for away games, at least those in league.
