To be fair I've seen similar things here in the US, but man does it not seem to be common enough.

We have innovations too.

Amazon Prime, Supermarket delivery services, Wal-Mart Pick-up, etc.

The in-store food shopping experience seems destined to create community spread.   I have always preferred to shop on my own to assess and select produce and other items, but for the next few months the front porch delivery will be my path even if stores had those cute floor dots.
