Yup, clearly Trump's fault for this death and the ones in Nigeria that CNN was blaming him for.
Interesting read you linked--great info from Axios! Thought chloroquine phosphate was a malaria drug only available with a prescription; who knew that it's sold in every salt water aquarium store in the country? Apparently it's a wonder drug used to treat all sorts of salt water parasites and diseases. Fortunately, found some on my shelf, as it looks like there's been a run on the stuff.

Just to be clear, people are responsible for their own actions. Even the reviled CNN doesn't say it was Trump's fault. It rightly states that B (Nigerians died after taking Chloroquine) happened after A (Trumpp touted its benefits). You can decide for yourself whether there was a causal relationship between them, and even if there was a causal link, how to apportion blame.
But it is also irresponsible for anyone, let alone the president, to use a press conference to tout an unproven cures. People are scared. And clearly people listen to the President. I think it's clear that not everyone takes him "seriously but not literally".
