I guess one benefit of living in an area of relatively severe restrictions is that it provides a disincentive for people to travel here.
the decision was made largely by the county health officers. They know what is happening better than we do. So I guess it could be better, it could be worse. They could’ve not extended the closures, they could’ve closed schools for the year. But I think it’s mostly bad news.
With less than a month after May 1, the disruption of reopening would be significant even if it were safe. It could only make sense if they extended the school year. Colleges seem to be ahead of the curve in terms of going online for the rest of the year.
