At the risk of being political, I share a personal daydream prompted by the most recent White House briefing.
I dreamed of the same briefing but led by 42, 43 or 44. There are no malapropisms, no denials of statements made 2 weeks ago, the president speaks to the whole country and not just his partisans. His short statement explains his data based decisions with trusted subject matter experts and how he is working with allies internationally to resolve a world-wide crisis. Most of all there are no aggrandizing and embarrassing self-back-pats during the middle of a growing crisis.
It's a nice dream. It's not our reality.
