Cuomo and DeBlasio's personal pissing matches are distracting them from working together as well as they need to. Cuomo knows without a doubt that the schools aren't re-opening this school year, but he has to waste time saying that HE gets to make the decision NOT DeBlasio. Who the F* cares?
Their foolishness makes me appreciate Governor Newsom and the mayors of California's large cities. They have worked together very well even though they don't all agree on some of the details. I know from working with some of those mayors that Governor Newsom thinks President Trump has done a terrible job providing federal leadership and assistance. However, Governor Newsom has been smart enough to not pick needless fights with the president or shout his feelings from the rooftops. Instead, he has mostly stayed focused on responding to the epidemic. That doesn't mean that the media shouldn't cover any politician's failings, but I appreciate it when my representatives stay focused on the task at hand.
