FWIW, I find this chart impossible to believe. Since the beginnings of frequent flyer programs, when have first class seats ever been left unoccupied? Only one first class passenger? Pfffft!

LOL, my first thought was that even my lowly silver status would have gotten me to the front of that flight!  But also, remember this was back in 2004.

If the flight was indeed in Asia, perhaps. In the early 90's, I put 100k domestically on United. For that honor, I got to sit next to the Indian Chief from the Village People and have Kathy Ireland step over me, twice. Both great experiences. Sat behind Gary Hart, boy, he hadn't aged well.
