But while we're doing shelter in place it doesn't really matter in your own home; it's when we are out and prone to be touching contaminated surfaces that it would be a problem. Which is a benefit of wearing a mask and gloves when you're out: both help remind you not to touch your face and the mask reduces the risk when you do.
