April unemployment will come tomorrow.  I think experts are predicting 15% unemployment (at the height of the Great Recession, we hit 800,000), and this covers only the period to the index week, which is the second week in the month.  Also, it only covers those who are unemployed but looking to get work (so anyone who has given up under the circumstances is considered "not in the workforce").

The ADP numbers (private payroll) yesterday states 20.2 million jobs were lost in April.



It is striking to compare the magnitude of job losses now to during the Great Recession on that graph.
