Yes, and people in power have never lied about employees' behavior to justify firing them for political reasons.  Entire books have been written documenting these sorts of whistleblower cases in government.

Also, if she refused to cook the numbers, wouldn't that be insubordination?  I don't see how that's exculpatory for Florida.

PS If you want to document something political, please try to use a non-partisan source.  I read plenty of left-wing websites, but here I try to link solely to mainstream news sites.  You're not going to convince people on the other side of the political aisle with the National Review.

So, is AP is a sufficiently non-partisan source for you [see post above]?  I tried to find some follow-up reporting by boingboing.net [the original source for this thread], but came up empty.

And, FWIW, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, as I'm pretty certain your mind is irreversibly made up.  Frankly, I see much more likelihood of success in trying to convince Teejers that Shaw was right at the end of the Fiesta Bowl...
