I can only speak for myself, but I haven't said anything here because (a) I'm totally emotionally worn down and dismayed by the past week; and (b) what I'd say would be 98% political and 2% about the virus. Mindful of the Terry Rule, it just didn't seem worth it.
I will say this though: between the pandemic and our utterly vacant leadership ("where are you?"), it's beginning to feel like we live in a failed state -- to the point that several of my international Stanford undergrad friends from "developing" countries have reached out to ask if the U.S. is going to be OK. It's dismaying to answer I'm really not sure at the moment.
