Why does the song “Another One Bites the Dust” come to mind? If she were admitted, I’d have to think driving distance for parents to see games would have been factor? We live in strange times.

if that becomes a more important factor, it's not all bad for us since there are always a lot of very good recruits in California. At least in the PacNW, parents can drive to at least 4 games and often five if we play Gonzaga or some other program up there. And it also depends on how important the scholastic side is for these students. Some of them will also be happy to be further away from the parents/hometown. Remember when you were 18? Some like to stay close, some like space!

you bet! I went 4 hours away by car. Perfect distance in a place that was hard to get to otherwise! Then again my theory on distance was demolished by OSU/Kampschroeder so I examined the top 12 in 2021 and all those committed thus far except her are staying within one time zone of home and most even closer.
