There are some very good college choices out there. He also could pull a Milburn and get out of Norman but Stanford doesn't take transfers.
Stanford is a superb pick for a kid but not for everybody. That is why Oklahoma has been a power going back to the 40's.
Shaw is correct but that doesn't make it any easier for Stanford fans. I watched a replay of a Penn St/Michigan game the other night. Over 100,000 crazies waving pom poms in Happy Valley, all of whom are wearing white shirts. Most highly rated recruits want to play in that atmosphere rather than in front of a laid back crowd in a 50,000 seat stadium half filled. It's amazing what Harballs and Shaw have done in a little more than a decade with all the constraints in Palo Alto.
