If it is one meeting a week, it is possible. Doing even four hours a day would basically require you to live on the time zone that your university uses. While possible, it is certainly painful. It would be doubly difficult if you don't speak the language well and can't go ask anybody to help you out. The isolation would be extreme. I imagine some would try it though.
