I believe the doctor in San Antonio is telling the truth as she knows it (she reports two statements by the patient as reported by his nurse).  The report is from the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital.  The earliest I see the news report is before sunrise on July 10, indicating it was first made public late on July 9. The demographic data for the county indicates 3 30-39yo had died as of July 7 and that 5 30-39yo had died as of July 11.  So there are two deaths of people in that age group in that time frame.

San Antonio (Bexar County) has had an excessive number of deaths in the last few days.  In the 5 days, from July 6 to July 11, there were 47 deaths (total 184).  (One day was high enough that I wonder if it was a backlog.)  The county's population is approximately the same as Santa Clara County (just under 2M).
