Let me also point out that companies are starting to convert furloughs into layoffs as it becomes clear that we will not have a "V" shaped economic recovery. This means that furloughed people, who were at least receiving health care . I'll be fortunate if I get to rehire half of my former employees. The economy won't recover until 2022, despite the many assurances and projections that we would have a "V" shaped economic recovery that would quickly bounce back to pre-pandemic levels.
Those who touted "V shaped recovery" were as blind to reality as those who have been waiting for a miracle to save college football.
It's gonna be more like an L. And that sure is poetically justified.
