With the USA government and USA citizens views on economy vs health coupled with the realities of contagious diseases it is not realistic to believe January-April will be better than Aug-Nov for COVID.   Therefore postpone now would just mean cancel later.

I can only guess that the administrators in the Power5 conferences know this too.  May explain why they are trying so hard to plow forward with any form of a TV...errr...football season.   Looks like Pac-12 and BigTen student athletes are doing enough to raise awareness of the risk-benefit reality of the drive for TV revenue, so I suspect we will see a postpone soon and cancel in late December type future.
