The review does talk about long term effects of myocarditis (of at least 2 different types), but I don't feel I can summarize them properly.

Patients with ostensibly recovered cardiac function may still be at risk of coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, or ventricular arrhythmias.

We recommend standard electrocardiogram and echocardiogram recordings and possibly cardiac monitoring 2–6 months postrecovery, with the recognition that even these tests may not detect subtle clinical abnormalities.
