There are two problems with playing college football this Fall.
1. Many athletes have been infected and have Myocarditis that could potentially lead to great liability for schools.
2. The virus is likely going to ramp up significantly in September and October.
The Pac-12 and Big Ten are doing a better job managing their risk than the ACC, Big 12, and SEC because they are taking the possibility of a player dying from Covid complications off the table, and they are not walking out on the virus spread thin ice that attempts to play season could fall through.
It may be the conferences going forward do so without incident. That would be awesome. However, the data suggests there is high probability for at least one of these two concerns to manifest and make playing games impossible.
