P.S. I agree with Farm93 and Snorlax that my use of the word "fixated" was imprudent. This is a Covid board and the developments around the country are of interest, so my apologies for that. But I will say that I believe many here are watching developments at universities with almost a hope that things go bad, because the tone of the "observational" posts is condescending (thematically along the lines of "I can't believe these idiots are even trying this"). I will never embrace that outlook.
