We are recruiting 4 of the top 7 and 7 of the top 19.

Crossing my fingers that we get them! Well, we don't even have room for 7, but it would be awesome to fill the class from these recruits.

I believe our needs for the 2022 class are:

1) More bigs - Brink and Iriafen are the only true bigs from '20 and '21

2) 3-point shooting - We have a lot of versatile players in '20 and '21 but not sure anyone is a "3-point shooter" like Jump or even Prechtel is in the class of '19.  Possibly Van Gytenbeek is a 3-point shooter but we will have to see

3) Point guard - Van Gytenbeek is the only point guard we have in the' 19, '20 and '21 classes

What we don't necessarily need right now are big slashing wings since we have Emma-Nnopu, Demetre and Bosgana in that role.

harriel played point guard in high school; the services list her as a "combo guard." i believe tara is grooming haley jones to play point (as well as all 4 other spots). that said, i agree, we can definitely use another point guard

Jones can certainly play a point forward role in initiating our offense but I would rather have someone else bring the ball up the court especially if they are facing pressure from the opposing team's guards.  We need Jones fresh to do what our team needs the most help with which is score or set up another player to score.  It wasn't ideal when Nicole Powell was here and had to do everything, bring up the ball, set up the offense, drive, score, rebound ...

Great point about Powell.  I think it's vital to keep Jones healthy.  I think we do want to give her as many touches and options as possible but I sure hope that is not in the context of standing around and waiting for one player to make things happen.
