My sense of UWisc internal "politics" is that the Chancellor takes this very seriously, and has a bias to cancel;   she was probably one of the Big10 leaders leaning against sports this fall.

The State of Wisconsin has real COVID problems.   The normalcy that football conveys is just not appropriate there right now.  

The new football concern will be that opposing teams might not really want to go to Wisconsin.  Would any other BigTen coach really want to spend 24 hours in Madison right now?   Odds are so good they would come home with a mini-outbreak that might jeopardize their chances to win, or even play, future games.
