I believe the Presidential election is per se Covid related.
Just as a refresher, in the event of an Electoral College tie, improbable but within the realm of possibility, the election is thrown into the House of Representatives. This has happened before, in 1800, as recounted in a very popular musical.
States in the House vote as units. California's 53 representatives count the same as Wyoming's 1. You need 26 votes to win (obviously). I believe the Republicans hold the majority of State delegations, though the House is of course slightly Democratic. (This would be the House as presently constituted.)
So Trump likely wins in that scenario. The weeping and gnashing of teeth and renting of garments in that event should be a wonder to behold.

I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.
