100,000+ new diagnoses. Hospitalizations and deaths are trailing infections, but hospitalizations are rising quickly and if trends continue (always a big if), they will surpass this summer's peak by late next week. Deaths are starting to rise, but as usual, trail new diagnoses and hospitalizations.
