MLB has closed their investigation.  No punishment for Turner.

MLB isn't big on player punishment it seems.

Do you think just maybe there were no positive tests attributable to Turner's celebratory moments?
I take that as a given, mainly because we would have heard about it and enough people in media would probably like to nail the guy and MLB.  

I'm fine doling out punishment to align with the harm . . . but I would have given him 1-2 game suspension as a baseline, even with 0 traceable additional positive tests.

There were some subsequent positive tests in the Dodgers organization.

But it's not publicly known if any are related to Turner.  The article says that "most" of the cases were outside of the bubble so it leaves room for the naysayers. 

Regardless of if anyone else got sick,  there should have been some fine/suspension.  Set a precedent.  Show that MLB means business with regards to covid safety (like the NFL and NBA have done).  Otherwise,  how will they control this next season, when the virus will still likely be running around (figuring vaccine's impact won't be enough for at least a year).  Terrible example to let slide.  (I don't think it's just Turner's fault,  but Manfred's not going to discipline himself).  The timing of the news release is suspect as well, allowing skeptics to view this as a newsdump while the nation is looking elsewhere.
