This is the right thing to do. I don't know how on earth any school could justify winter sports given the current state of the pandemic. They should also cancel fall sports now.
Thankfully for my sports viewing pleasure, the powers-that-be in most conferences disagree with you . . . for now. Wonder how many Ivy kids will transfer (I expect not many . . . but some might). The kids want to play; it's safe for them; it makes money for the schools; risk-benefit analysis. That could change if all the doomsday numbers around here pan out, especially if hospital treatment is jeopardized.
But I think we continue to stumble along until a vaccine it widely distributed.
Meanwhile, Profile of Coronavirus Decedent remains murkier than it needs to be. Maybe that's smart for behavioral purposes.
