I'm curious how different successful and unsuccessful nations would plot on this (or regions inside nations if one wants to argue a nation, like the US, can be varied in its response)

I'd be interested in the international version as well.

Another interesting point on the US  chart is Florida. Florida seems quite the outrider, and some would say the most successful single data point. That surprises me. And certainly doesn't fit into my biases.

Regardless of the color of the state, lots of old folks there . . . who prefer to survive this.  That would be my gut take, anyway.
