It is indeed a very light flu year, with fewer cases year to date than the lightest flu year in recent memory (2015/16). It's still early (we are just around the time that influenza cases typically start accelerating (2009 being the exception), so let's have another look in another 3-4 weeks.

Of the current ILI's, I'll bet many are Covid infections with false negative tests.
