- RB Cameron McFarlane, jr. He made his season debut; last played in a game in 2018. Cool that he got some PT!
- DE Trey LaBounty, jr. Also made his season debut, and also last played a game in 2018.
- OLB Caleb Phillips, sr. He has appeared in every game this season, but has yet to record a tackle.
- TE Kyle McCombs, sr. He has appeared in every game this season, but has not recorded a statistic.
- ILB Jake Lynch, jr. He played in his third game.
- WR Brycen Tremayne, a junior former walk-on, started and had a big game: four catches for 58 yards. He also chipped in with a tackle. He impresses me more each week.
- OLB Thunder Justice Keck, a senior former walk-on, started and recorded two tackles.
- P Ryan Sanborn, a sophomore former walk-on, had an up-and-down game; he punted four times for a 32.2-yard average, including two downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line. He also threw an incomplete pass on an attempted two-point converstion.
- S J.J. Parson, a 5th year former walk-on, played on ST.
- S Noah Williams, a senior former walk-on, played a lot, for some reason. Had six tackles, but got beat more than once.
- ILB Spencer Jorgensen, a sophomore former walk-on, did NOT play. Moving him back to safety perhaps?
Back again with some comments!
- I didn't see McFarlane or LaBounty, but it's possible they both came in on ST. I wish the full game didn't get pulled from YouTube!
- Sanborn only had one shanked punt, I think. The other 3 were from midfield-ish, and the one that didn't land "inside" the 20 landed AT the 20. The "failed two-point conversion" was an awful snap-hold combo that rendered an XP kick impossible, so Sanborn had to improvise.
- I was incredibly worried Antoine was injured after seeing Williams out there so much (boy is he bad). Antoine did finish out the game so I think he's ok.
- Jorgensen is a sophomore walk-on at a brand-new position. There's a reason we tried to get Gabe Reid to play ILB for a while. We don't want him out there on defense (yet). I'm 99% sure I saw him on ST though.
