A good QB doesn’t overcome a weakness at one corner assuming the Niners resign Verrett at the other spot. It doesn’t overcome the safety position that Tartt plays nor the need for an edge given Blair’s injury and the probable release of Ford. It doesn’t overcome McGlinchy’s whiffing at least once a game. It doesn’t overcome the depth problem at guard and center. Trading the picks is a disaster. Plus you need money to extend their best player, Warner.
