I ump’d about 7 years. Never called not getting out of the way. Players were 14 and younger. But every so often a manager or fan would complain.
I remember playing little league, and a pitch was coming inside and I ducked. The ball hit the top of my batting helmet, and the opposing manager argued that I intentionally let the pitch hit me. And this was in the minor leagues, as I was not very good. Dopey coaches at all levels. . . .
