I choose Option C, for us to outscore Oregon 28-14 in the 3rd quarter and outscore Oregon 23-15 in the fourth quarter too. That shouldn't be an impossible outcome.
But if I had to choose between what actually happened and your alternative, I would choose yours. I rather end the game on a high note rather than slog through the last ten minutes almost painfully. Far from me to challenge a Hall of Fame coach with 1,100 plus victories and her preferred method of finishing games. I am also not arguing it doesn't work, but that grind-it-out, trade points from time method to end a game can be very difficult as a fan to watch and it can somewhat leave a sour taste in one's month even though the W is most important. I rather shut the door and leave no doubt, plus it allows the reserves to come in and play and reduces injury risk to our starters.
