USC's recruiting received a real shot in the arm from the hiring of Donte Williams one year ago as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Since then, they signed a top 10 class for 2021, (including the #1 overall recruit) and they already have a commitment from the #1 California player for the class of 2022 (and #3 overall). Williams seems to have single-handedly turned around USC recruiting.

It's kind of weird to hear a top-10 class at SC described as a notable improvement, though it is true at least over the past two years.
