I attended that 1967 SC game with my dad (along with the 68 and 69 games). Our seats were in the tunnel end of the stadium and as Stanford lined up for it first offensive play from scrimmage, my dad turned to me and said, "you watch Washington and I will watch Plunkett". As the play unfolded it was hard for me to follow , with action moving away from us ,but I do recall the excitement and roar of the crowd as the high arc of the ball ended with a completion to Gene Washington far down the field. My dad swears that as Plunkett was ready to throw, he was flexing the football!
