I am not sure that the number of McDonald's All-Americans matters that much as it's basically saying you have a top-24 player. Yes it's good to have a top-24 player, however we have had McDonald's All-Americans like Kailee Johnson or Ashley Cimino who have not panned out at the college level. I think top-10 or top-5 players are much more impactful than having say a couple of players ranked 21 and 22.
To me the more relevant thing about South Carolina next year is that they are getting the #2,3, and 4th ranked players. All of those players have the potential to be game changers at the college-level. Think of our recent top-5 players. Chiney - superstar. Jones and Brink - producing right away and potential superstars when their college careers are done.
Agreed; hopefully we'll have a similar class the following year. With Betts already committing and in the mix for Gardiner, Rice and Nnaji, we could bring in another game-changing class and we'll need it as Haley will be a senior and Brink will be a junior by the time the HS Class of '22 arrives on the Farm.
