Oregon and USC destroyed their opponents. They looked like legit #1 or #2 seeds beating up 7, 8, 9 or 10 seeds. I am assuming USC can "hold on" to beat Kansas given they are up by quite a lot with ~4 minutes to play.
Pac-12 may just have a team in the Final Four based on the play this weekend. I believe with USC winning the Pac-12 will have at least one elite 8 team, since Oregon and USC play each other in the Sweet 16.
Next up, I don't think Stanford would have done well in the tournament based on how it was all falling apart at the end. However, the Pac-12's strength does suggest that finishing 6th was a decent showing after all. The 6th best team from the Pac-12 probably should have been a play-in team. And all of that means I am pretty confident Muir will see the glass half full world I just shared and will see Haase's most recent season as pretty respectable.
I am not expecting Haase to be terminated, but the Pac-12's weekend probably saved his job if it was ever in doubt.
