So, Stanford beat 3 out of the top 32 teams this year (Bama, OSU, and UCLA).

Just can't win the ones that matter most.

Before we get too carried away, I am old enough to remember when a certain Pac-12 team was a number one seed who was run out of the gym by an 8 seeded UNC Alabama.

WE lost to both UNC (in 2000) and Alabama (in 2004) as 1 seeds, but while the Alabama loss was a 3 point loss, that wasn't final until Dan Grunfeld's last second shot missed, the loss against UNC was 60-53 in a game that wasn't that close (UNC shot .440, while we shot .353).
