Here's what's going to happen. Garapolo goes down in Week 3, Lance or Jones or Fields comes in and blasts the next two foes. Niners nation goes batshit crazy and in his third game the new guy takes off like Robert Griffen and tears his ACL, MCL and ruptures his spleen. He's never the same so in the 2022 off season the Niners pony up for a free agent and draft Garbers from Cal in round 4. Of course the free agent gets hurt and the franchise is in the hands of a Weenie.

Well I worked with Steve Kroft for 20 years off and on so I can ID horror easily.

Glad I don't GAS about the Niners. Franchise has been a tedious soap opera ever since janky Jed and his tool Trent (Baalke) booted Mooch.

I think the Great Sports Mystery of the 21st century is how Trent Baalke got another NFL job, much less the GM job he has with the Jacksonville Jaguars.    Baalke destroyed the 49ers.  Yes, they had a three year run with Harbaugh, then melted down as he went through head coach after head coach.  Yes, the 2010 Niner draft was a good one, but that was McCloughan (who was fired for personal reasons).  Baalke must pucker really, really well for Urban Meyer to sign off on him, because he was a heinously bad GM for the 49ers.
