I am much more optimistic about this team than I was 6 weeks ago. Great success in NCAA golf happens when shooting par on tough courses. Pasatiempo was tough. It's a of immense proportions step forward that Shimp played well. It looks like Snyder might be rounding into form. I could see a regionals line up of Brown, Vilips, Thorbejornsen, Shimp and Snyder playing well enough to get to the NCAA championships. Ng will be considered too, based on performance at the Pac 12s at the end of the month, but I would like seniors Shimp and Snyder to defend their 2019 championship.
Pasa usually plays tough, like any slope-y course that was designed a hundred years ago that didn't need to contend with today's slick greens. 16 is basically unputtable if the pin's in the bottom of the three tiers.
