Colt Walker 13.70 on rings for those keeping track of the freshman.
Minnesota pulls off 3rd place. Two of immense proportions horizontal bar routines with 2 Penn State chokes on vault.
Stanford pulls out the prelim win. with a good 413.855. Will need a 416 tomorrow to beat Michigan. Bock will give them another 4 points on those 2 events.
Yeah that seems about right. The good news is that Gunther's 11.533 on the pommel is low hanging fruit to improve. On the other hand, we had only one other score below 13, so there's no room for a choked routine. I'd guess it'll be a three horse race with Oklahoma, Stanford and Michigan.

Very few freshmen do multiple events. Briones and Malone are freaks. I did expect Walker to do floor this year though.

I guess the question is how much does that matter for two events. I'd guess maybe 4 points would be a big spread between your best guy and your next guy on two events, I'd guess we win by about 2 points, so I wouldn't exactly call that hopeless.
It's the difference between Bock and their worst guy that matters. You won't see those two guys tomorrow.
Yeah by "next guy" I meant next guy off the bench, not 2nd best.
