There are a lot of really good 2022 recruits in the state of California whose stock has been rising over the past few months. As BobK has noted, not a lot of the Cal Stars and Cal Storm players were seen last year because of COVID-19.

There is certainly some interest in Hannah Stines, who already holds offers from Utah, Colorado, and Washington and has cracked the national rankings (#33 on ESPN; #39 on ASGR), but there are a few other players who would also be very nice gets for Stanford.

Stanford reached out to one of Bay City Girls Basketball's players last September (when coaches could begin calling 2022s), and it was likely for 5-11 guard Elle Ladine who now attends Pinewood. She also now plays for Team Taurasi with Stines and Briggs. She holds offers from Santa Clara, USF, UC Irvine, UCSB, Long Beach State, Pacific, and UCSD. Her new AAU team does not report offers, but an ESPN article said a lot of PAC-12 schools were recruiting her and compared her to Oregon State's Aleah Goodman. She's ranked #75 on ESPN.

Another player who has impressed me is Cal Stars PG Talana Lepolo. She's a 5-7 PG for the Cal Stars and runs the team very well. She attends SJND and is ranked #32 by ASGR. Haven't seen anything pointing to Stanford interest though.

It will be interesting to see if Tara trys to keep the roster at 13-14 the next few years so she has some wiggle room as far as players wanting to return for their fifth season.
